Phosphenes, 2023

Digital photography on plexyglass.

Produced thanks to Olot Photography Grant, Olot, Girona, Spain.

Phosphenes explores the abstract, anatomical and individual optical experience. It is based on the reflection of the philosopher Jonathan Crary in his book Techniques of the Observer, in which he develops the idea that there are physiological colours that belong entirely to the observer’s body, being producers of our sensory experience.
